MAINTENANCE

A member of the Better Business Bureau reliability program.

Claim to fame: At Lancaster Tire and Auto Care they like to say "the technicians love a challenge," owner Jeff Furbush said. "We love to diagnose problems that other people have failed to diagnose and we have a great success rate. We also give honest, educated feedback and that's what our customers love. They can trust us." Lancaster Tire & Auto Care employees keep current on diagnostic equipment, updating it on a weekly basis. They provide electrical, computer diagnostics, factory recommended services such as mileage-based or maintenance work, air-conditioning and other types of mechanical repair. Each of the technicians is factory trained and ASE certified. Lancaster Tire & Auto Care hopes to expand to include restoring vintage vehicles.

      TUNING & BRAKES

When it comes to safety, no part of your vehicle is more important than the brakes. They should be inspected at least once a year to determine the condition of the hydraulic system and operating hardware. While the entire braking system requires attention, the friction materials - the pads, shoes, rotors and drums - require constant attention because they wear down each time you apply your brakes.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE BRAKE SERVICE?

  • We begin with a comprehensive inspection of your car’s entire braking system.

  • Pads and shoes are replaced and warranted for as long as you own the car.

  • Wheel bearings are repacked as needed.

  • The backing plate and caliper anchor are lubricated.

  • The brake fluid is topped off.

  • The hydraulic system is purged of air and adjusted.

  • Drums and rotors are refinished if they have become scored.

  • At an additional cost, the drums and rotors are replaced if they are too badly worn.

  • Based on our inspection, there may be other components that may need to be replaced.

  • Metallic pads are extra.

      WHEELS & SUSPENSION

our car’s suspension system is primarily more important than many of us realize. It affects many areas of your day to day ride. For example, it does not only have an effect on how pleasant and enjoyable your ride is, while that is necessary, but it is likewise a very important facet of your car’s stability. Suspension repairs are usually done on automobiles which have a bouncy ride or become to bumpy.

With out a rightly taken care of and working suspension you are going to start to see your car’s inadequate response to braking, acceleration and handling, at the same time as needless tire vibration and other concerns.
